Epsylon was created in december 2007 by Yves Vermeersch (composer/guitarist) and Sylvie Boisieux (vocalist/lyricist).
After working together on different projects, they decided to join forces in order to successfully continue the musical vision and direction they had in mind when starting their collaboration mid 2006.
They started out reflecting on their past experiences and began preparing for the next musical year...
The goal is to create power/melodic metal enriched with powerful female vocals and choirs.
This time, the choice was made to work with session musicians in order to complete their first full album.
The band has now finished recording their debut album at Ace Studio (Antwerp, Belgium), together with guest musicians Jeroen Simons (drums, ex-Epica), Jan S. Eckert (bassist/vocalist, Masterplan) and Heather Shockley (vocalist, Rock Ignition).
Epsylon's debut album 'The Gift' has been released on Dec. 27th, 2008 and is available through our Webshop and in the following stores in Leuven: Metalzone (Diestsestraat), JJ Records (Parijsstraat), Bilbo (Ladeuzeplein)
The album has also been released through Fastball Music (a division of Bob-Media) and distributed by Sony Music since
July 2009 in France, Germany and Switzerland. Distribution in The Netherlands is handled by Rock Inc.
